Utah State Loan Programs
Equity Now
First-time homebuyers who do need help with their down payment and/or closing costs may be eligible for assistance through Equity Now. Assistance is available in the form of a second mortgage for up to 6 percent of the purchase price of the home at 7 percent interest.
FirstHome
First-time homebuyers who don't need help with their down payment or closing costs may be eligible for a FirstHome first mortgage. Those purchasing homes in certain areas of Utah are also invited to apply.
Foreclosure Prevention Counselors
We are approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide counseling, education and advice in housing issues to new and existing homeowners.
Single Parent FirstHome
This mortgage loan program is designed to help single parents with at least one minor child in the house. They must have owned or co-owned at least one house prior to application, and must be able to afford the up-front costs of the home purchase.
VEP-Equity Now
Veterans who have trouble saving for the up-front costs of purchasing a home may be eligible for help through VEP-Equity Now. To cover those costs, qualifying homebuyers can get a second mortgage for up to 6 percent of the amount of the first mortgage. The second mortgage will have the same term as the first mortgage (generally 30 years), but it will have a 7 percent interest rate.
VEP-FirstHome
Veterans who are looking to buy a home anywhere in Utah may find attractive mortgage terms with this program. Qualified applicants must be able to afford the down payment and closing costs themselves.
