Montana State Loan Programs
Foreclosure Prevention Counselors
We are approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide counseling, education and advice in housing issues to new and existing homeowners.
My Montana Mortgage Program
Low-interest mortgage loans are available to four targeted populations in the state of Montana. Eligible groups include Native Americans, Section Eight recipients, household members with an ADA-defined disability, and full-time employees of critical community services. Firefighters, police, teachers, and medical personnel are among those considered essential to the community.
NeighborWorks Montana (NWMT)
The NWMT is a down payment assistance program which is offered to homebuyers who can qualify for a first mortgage but don't have the minimum down payment to close the transaction. Six specific localities in Montana have their own down payment assistance programs for their respective communities under the NWMT umbrella. The amount of the loan is based on need, and does not have to be repaid until the home is sold, refinanced, or otherwise transferred. Recipients must meet income guidelines.
