Foreclosure Prevention Counselors
We are approved by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide counseling, education and advice in housing issues to new and existing homeowners.
Good Credit Rewards Loan
The Good Credit Rewards loan is a second mortgage for homebuyers with a credit score of at least 700 who have had trouble saving for the up-front costs of purchasing a home. Funds are limited to 3.5 percent of the amount of the first mortgage. Income limits apply.
HOME Down Payment Assistance Program
This program offers a deferred-payment zero-interest second mortgage for qualified homebuyers who need help with their down payment and closing costs. Income limits apply. Available funds are given based on need, up to $20,000.
IdaMortgage Loan Program
Working with the IdaMortgage Program, new homebuyers have several options for assistance. The First Loan is for first-time homebuyers and offers a 30-year fixed interest rate at lower than market rates. The Advantage Loan, for purchase or refinance, is available to all qualified homebuyers. Down payment assistance is available through other programs for both of these loans and certain conventional loans from participating lenders.
Tax Credit Second Loan
First-time homebuyers who also qualify for the federal First-Time Homebuyer's tax credit may be able to receive a second mortgage to help with the cost of purchasing a home. Loan amounts may not exceed the lesser of $7,000 or 5 percent of the price of the home, and must be paid back by July of 2010 in order to avoid interest accrual. The borrower must also qualify for an IdaMortgage loan.
